Equipment maintenance for Houston surgery centers
Ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) depend on equipment across the operating room, pre-op and recovery areas. Apex Biomedical Technology is based in Houston and supports healthcare facilities across the United States. Share your equipment inventory, service history and available service windows so we can review a practical maintenance scope.
Discuss planned preventive maintenance, equipment repair assessment, electrical safety testing and inventory or service-record support. Equipment coverage, service intervals, documentation and any exclusions are confirmed for your specific request.

Use these equipment groups to organize your request. The manufacturer, exact model, configuration and reported issue help determine the supported work for each device.
Anesthesia and operating rooms
Review anesthesia machines, breathing assemblies and gas-monitoring needs, alongside surgical tables, OR lights and electrosurgical units. Include the affected function, controls and accessories when requesting repair assessment.
Pre-op and recovery
Group patient monitors, infusion pumps and modules, and stretchers, beds and procedure chairs by department. For multi-unit requests, list each device or module separately with its model and asset identifier.
Sterilization and warming
Review autoclave and sterilizer repair or PM for your sterile-processing equipment. Blanket warmers and fluid warmers can also be reviewed through general biomedical equipment support. Send the exact model, configuration and concern so the supported scope can be confirmed.
Plan PM around your equipment and service windows
For an ASC preventive maintenance program or maintenance-contract request, define the equipment to include, requested service intervals and site access. Identify existing faults, parts needs and additional inspections separately so they can be reviewed with the scope.
To help prepare for scheduling, send:
- Equipment list: manufacturers, exact models, quantities, serial numbers or asset tags, and relevant accessories.
- Facility and departments: your location and the rooms or equipment groups involved.
- Service windows: preferred dates, room-access windows and when each device can be made available.
- Known concerns: fault symptoms, alarm messages, affected functions and available service history.
- Access and priorities: the facility contact, access requirements, current PM status and equipment needing attention first.
Please exclude patient information from request details, records and photographs.
Discuss the service records your facility needs
Before scheduling, agree on the records your facility needs for each device:
- Identify the equipment: manufacturer, model, serial number or asset tag, and department.
- Record the work: service date, work performed, applicable checks, measured results and findings.
- Track follow-up: maintenance status, unresolved concerns and recommended next steps.

Documentation and any record-cleanup work are confirmed in the agreed scope.
If asset lists or PM records are incomplete, inventory and CMMS support can help organize the starting point. Include your current record format or CMMS and the gaps you want reviewed.
